PTI demands release of arrested workers, citizens

Karachi wing says those arrested under MPO have been shifted to other cities

The PTI has demanded the bail and release of workers and the general public arrested under First Information Reports (FIR) and the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO), saying that 190 workers and 300 citizens were arrested from Karachi, out of which 177 workers had been transferred to other cities.

According to Express News, PTI Karachi said that 177 workers had been arrested under MPO and transferred to other cities. More than 300 ordinary people who are not party workers but supporters of its ideology have also been arrested, it added.

According to PTI Karachi, apart from them, there are also a large number of people whose MPOs have not been issued yet. These persons are being kept in unknown places without any information being given, it claimed.

The party, therefore, demanded the release of all the arrested activists and supporters and requested the judiciary to provide justice to the activists and people.
