Guard shoots after catching culprit red-handed while attempting to steal iron objects

A drug addict attempting to escape after stealing iron objects was shot and wounded by a security guard.

According to reports, 27-year-old Alnoor, who was known to be addicted to drugs, was caught in the act of stealing iron items in the vicinity of the Hockey Stadium, falling within the jurisdiction of Madina Town police station.

As the security guard tried to apprehend him, Alnoor fled the scene. The guard opened fire, resulting in the injury.

The injured suspect received initial medical assistance from a Rescue 1122 team and was subsequently transported to the Civil Hospital for treatment.

Madina Town police said they were trying to locate the security guard involved in the shooting.
