Police solved a triple murder case and arrested the suspects on Saturday.
The bodies of three members of a family had been discovered in a house in Basti Jhandir. The brother and son-in-law of the deceased, Tanveer Mai and Asad Raza had allegedly killed the three victims over not sending their daughter to his home.
According to Basti Malook police, they had received information that three bodies had been found in a house in Basti Jhandir on May 10.
The deceased were identified as 40-year-old Tanveer Mai, 23-year-old Fakhr Ali and 21-year-old Mehwish Fatima. Police reached the spot and collected evidence from the crime scene, lodged a case and shifted the bodies to hospital for a post-mortem.
A team led by Makhdoom Rasheed DSP Naeem Ahmed and Basti Maluk SHO Ibadullah Shah arrested three suspects, Mulazim Hussain, Kazim Hussain and Asad Raza. Police officials said the suspects had confessed to the crime during interrogation.
