The police have submitted details of the cases filed against Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice President Fawad Chaudhry in the Lahore High Court (LHC), claiming 11 FIRs, including one relating to alleged washroom tap theft.
ustice Anwar-ul-Haq Pannu heard the plea filed by the PTI leader to obtain details of the cases. During the hearing, a report was submitted by the Punjab police regarding all the cases registered against Fawad Chaudhry.
A case with number 889/23 has been registered against PTI leader at Multan Cantonment Police Station. The complaint for this case was filed by Muzaffar Hanif. This case pertains to the theft of pipes and a tap from a school.
Additionally, the PTI leader is also accused of involvement in the theft of electrical wiring from the Khairpur Bhatta Government Primary School.
The report claimed that two cases were registered against the former federal minister at Sarwar Road and Race Course Police Stations in Lahore, while three cases in Multan Cantonment and one case in Jalalpur Pirwala, Multan.
According to the report, cases were also registered against the PTI leader at Attock, Jhelum, and Faisalabad police stations.
The PTI leader's lawyer expressed concern over the filing of baseless cases against Fawad on political grounds, contending that the court obtain details of all the cases and to prevent harassment of the former federal minister.
LHC adjourned the hearing till May 22.
