CPEC creates 155,000 jobs for Pakistanis

By the end of 2022, CPEC had created 236,000 jobs, of which 155,000 went to Pakistani workers

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has reached its 10th anniversary this year, has played an important role in bilateral cooperation between China and Pakistan and created over 155,000 local jobs for Pakistani people, said China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

At a press conference, an NDRC official said CPEC, including the development of Gwadar Port and cooperation in areas of energy, infrastructure and industry, had achieved fruitful results.

“Multiple highway construction programmes are progressing on schedule. Power plants that have entered commercial operation provide nearly one-third of Pakistan’s electricity requirement, having changed the situation of power shortage,” the official said.

By the end of 2022, CPEC had created 236,000 jobs, of which 155,000 went to Pakistani workers.

Only workers helpers been utilised that too because of cheap wages. We must raise our voices instead of boasting on such an alarming situation.

test | 1 year ago | Reply Although I am not impressed by the numbers of jobs created by CPEC because I want the job numbers to be in millions because there are millions of unemployed people in Pakistan. Also the number of underpaid skilled workers in Pakistan is even bigger. People are highly specialized in their fields but are getting salary which cannot be accepted by any standard of job. I know we live in a third world country where average gdp per capita nominal ppp is far less than the capita of average african country. Anyway Pakistan will always stand with China no matter what because I asked western countries for a decade to move their factories to Pakistan so that Pakistan can give millions of jobs to the unemployed people in Pakistan but europe and united states refused to move their factories to Pakistan and now it is Pakistan s turn and we will make sure that China destroys the west and even if have to give bases to China for that I will not hesitate in doing so even if we pay dearly. My word is final I will always stand with C H I N A C.H.I.N.A no matter what . My words will not change and if anyone has any doubt in their mind make sure they clear it because my policy will not change.
