Suspected suicide bomber arrested in DI Khan

Security forces claim to have foiled two terror plots in Dera Ismail Khan, cache of arms and ammunition recovered.

DI KHAN: Security forces on Monday claimed to have foiled two terror plots in Dera Ismail Khan and arrested two people, including a suspected suicide bomber.

A raid was conducted at a house in the city and the alleged bomber and his accomplice were taken into custody.

In a separate incident, security personnel recovered a huge cache of weapons and ammunition from the city’s suburbs.

Sources said the recovered weapons included 100 rocket launchers, 200 mortars and anti-aircraft guns.

Earlier, Police in Islamabad and security agencies claimed that they foiled a terrorist plan in the city by arresting five suspected terrorists. A suicide vest and hand grenades were also seized, the police added.

The terrorists were planning an attack on Jumatul Widah, according to the police.
