The clearance operation at the Frontier Corps' (FC) camp attacked in Muslim Bagh area of North Balochistan a day earlier had been completed, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported on Saturday.

At least seven Pakistan Army soldiers and a civilian were martyred in the attack, the military's media wing further revealed.

The ISPR added that six terrorists, "who were well equipped", were killed in the operation.

“Another six individuals including a woman were injured,” the military said.

The "complex clearance operation" involved a hostage rescue situation, whereas three families were also saved from a residential block. "The terrorists had not even spared children of their horrendous approach,” the ISPR added.

The statement maintained that necessary intelligence follow up will continue to trace the terrorists' connections and arrest facilitators, and expose their sponsors.

“Security forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart all attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” the ISPR said.

A day earlier, the ISPR reported that the security facility in Muslim Bagh had been attacked in the early hours of May 12.
