Microsoft resurrected its Windows Movie Maker, as Clipchamp, a new video-editing tool launched last year and now built in with Windows 11. The browser-based app supports trimming, splitting, transitions, and even has a screen recorder feature.

Similar to Adobe Premiere Pro, Clipchamp has a timeline with templates, a library of filters, transitions, stock media, and styles to create videos with multi-track audio support and user-friendly editing. The app also features an Azure-powered text-to-speech generator for creators to use voiceovers in 70 languages and OneDrive integration.

According to Microsoft, the app will be pre-installed on all Windows 11 devices and is a great app for beginners. Clipchamp is free to use and offers results without watermarks and an unlimited download of 1080p exports. The app also has stock image, video, and audio libraries and free filters and effects.

A monthly and yearly subscription to the video-editing tool makes it available for commercial use as well, offering a wide range of stock asset libraries, adding premium filters and effects, content backup, and brand kits.

More powerful than Canva, this app has a simple interface, and has similar tools as well. The app isn't yet available for mobile phone browsers but allows users to upload media from their phone using a QR Code generator.

The application also features a text-to-speech tool that works like a robot narrator. Users can input content into the text field, and choose a language and voice that fits their video, with pitch and speed adjustments.

With simple basic video editing, advanced tools to enhance your content, an extensive library of limages, videos, graphics, and audio, the app will let you convert files to Mp4 or Gif.
