The National Assembly Secretariat has once again changed the schedule for a joint sitting of the parliament. The joint sitting of the two houses of the parliament which was scheduled for today [Thursday] will now held on May 15 at 4pm.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to rule 4 of the Parliament (Joint Sittings) Rules, 1973, the honorable speaker has been pleased to call a joint sitting on Monday, the 15th May, 2023 at 4.00 pm, instead of Thursday, the 4th May, 2023 at 4.00 pm,” said a statement published on the National Assembly website on Wednesday.
The joint setting was originally scheduled to be held on May 15 but the speaker on May 2 changed the schedule and called the session on May 4 only to revert to the earlier schedule a day later.
