Conducts raid to arrest former CM Buzdar

Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE)’s hunt for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders continued as on Tuesday, it started inquiry against former federal minister religious affairs Ejazul Haq and conducted a raid to arrest former Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar.

He allegedly had constructed illegal housing societies in Haroonabad, Bahalnagar. These were built on agricultural land. The illegally constructed societies included vital city phase-I and II.

The other societies included Passban City, Al-Haq Town, Sarosh Town, Rehmat Town and Rehmat City. The societies were started being constructed without any government approval.

Haq through his front men minted millions of rupees by fooling public, ACE, have alleged.

ACE has also summoned officers and staff of TMA Haroonabad also.

Meanwhile, a team of ACE conducted a raid in Punjab University to arrest former Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar.

The team had received a tip that Buzdar was in a housing colony in Punjab University. The team reached in search of him but could not get hold of him. Earlier, ACE could reach Buzdar reportedly they lost his trace.

Reportedly, a case against illegal land grabbing case was registered against him by ACE. Earlier, he had appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore office in assets beyond means case.
