If Jiah’s mother wants to keep fighting, let her: Zarina Wahab on son Sooraj Pancholi’s acquittal

Jiah Khan’s mother continues to demand justice after verdict

The special court of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently acquitted actor Sooraj Pancholi of all charges related to the abetment of fellow actor Jiah Khan's suicide in 2013. While Sooraj's family is overjoyed and happy with the verdict, Jiah's mother, Rabya Khan, continues her fight for justice and says she will appeal to the higher court.

Rabya has been demanding an investigation into her daughter's murder and alleges that the agencies have "made a fool of people." She is disappointed that people don't view her as a mother fighting for her daughter's justice but as someone seeking revenge. Rabya is ready to fight till the end of her breath to find out who killed her daughter.

Sooraj’s mother, Zarina Wahab was seen breathing a sigh of relief after the case, stating, “They say there may be delay at God’s house but never darkness. This was an excellent illustration of it. 10 years is a long time, but God is amazing. He’s given us all a sigh of relief. Mujhe sirf upar wale par hi bharosa tha (I only trusted the Almighty).”

While speaking about Rabya’s pursuit for justice, Zarina added: “I have handed her case to God and He will answer her. I have nothing to say to her. God always serves justice and He did it this time as well. Whatever has to happen with Rabya, God will do. If she wants to continue fighting, let her do it. She also knows what the truth is. And despite that, if she’s doing this, it’s her personal problem. I don’t have anything to add to that.”

Zarina also added, “We never begged for assistance. We never asked for anything from anyone, not did we spread our hands in front of anyone. We only prayed to the Almighty above and He listened. He took his own time, but justice has been served.”

Zarina also stated that a lot has happened in the past decade, including humiliation for her son and constant anxiety for the family. However, she acknowledges that they cannot change the past and must move forward. Despite the difficulties, she is happy that her son can now look forward to a new life. She believes that Sooraj will be able to think peacefully and start afresh and that he will make positive contributions to his life and career. Despite the challenges of the past 10 years, she remains optimistic about the future.

Rabya, on the other hand, has expressed her disappointment over the verdict in the case of her daughter's death. She insists that her daughter would not have committed suicide, and she is determined to continue her fight for justice. She plans to appeal to a higher court and hopes to find the culprit who killed her daughter. Despite being criticized for “seeking revenge”, Rabya maintains that she just wants justice.

Regarding Sooraj, Rabya says that she feels sorry for him and believes that his life and talent have been wasted. She is not angry with him but wishes to find the truth about what happened to her daughter.
