KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court heard a petition of District Football Association, Malir, against the occupation of a football ground in Asu Goth and ordered the investigation.

The petitioner's counsel submitted that the ground adjacent to a school land has been occupied. Malir City Police are also involved in occupying the ground. Requests were made to the concerned authorities but no action has been taken so far.

The court remarked that the deputy commissioner should investigate the matter. If the ground land is encroached upon, it should be freed from illegal occupation immediately.

The high court also heard the petition against the construction on a street in Mehran Town.

Barrister Munir Iqbal, the lawyer of the petitioner, took the position that the street has been blocked and a wall has been built.

The court ordered immediate removal of illegal construction and saught an implementation report from the SBCA and concerned police station on May 16.
