RAWALPINDI:

Several district and sessions judges of Rawalpindi and Islamabad courts along with civil judges Thursday visited the Adiala Central Jail and released at least 75 inmates involved in petty crimes on personal surety bonds.

According to sources, the judges inspected the barracks, kitchens, and other facilities available for the prisoners and heard their grievances.

The visiting judges included Rawalpindi District and Sessions Judge Mushtaq Ojla, Islamabad East District and Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani, Islamabad West Additional District and Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas, and other civil judges. They also reviewed health facilities at the prison hospital and ordered the jail administration to take steps for the welfare of the inmates.

District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Mushtaq Ojala issued orders for the release of 16 prisoners, District and Sessions Judge Islamabad East Atta Rabbani 11, and Additional District and Sessions Judge Islamabad West issued orders for the release of 48 prisoners.
