ISLAMABAD:

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin has said a comprehensive strategy, under which parliamentary delegations, trade, tourism and defence affairs will be promoted, has been prepared to promote relations between the two countries.

Talking to The Express Tribune, the ambassador said that their present government has shown interest in strengthening long-term economic and trade relations with Pakistan. Pakistan and Kazakhstan would promote long-term economic partnerships, he said, adding that this will pave the way for future economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador further said that the importance of Pakistan has increased due to changes in the region and it is expected that Kazakhstan will soon be included in the CPEC route.

Kistafin said that Pakistan and Kazakhstan can play an important role in regional economy and trade, for which the negotiations in both countries have been successful. The concept of the Central Corridor is very important for regional connectivity and all regional economies will be able to benefit from this facility.
