WINSTON-SALEM:
American John Isner, battling against the wild weather as much as his opponent, beat unseeded Julien Benneteau 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Winston-Salem Open final to claim his second title in a period of six weeks. Isner initially struggled to find his range because of winds brought about by Hurricane Irene but he adjusted his game and was able to take control, firing 19 aces to help secure his third career title.
