Starring one of the most acclaimed names in the industry, Sanam Saeed and Fawad Khan, the web series, Barzakh, left everyone in awe.

Known as one of the finest artists in Pakistani showbiz, Saeed recently shared a glimpse of the world premiere of her upcoming web series, which is an enormous achievement regarding her journey from television screens to the silver screen and now shining at the global level.

Taking it to social media, Saeed shared her stunning appearance over her Instagram account while feeling honoured to represent South Asian talent in such a big global event being held in France. The Bachaana star donned three outfits for the prestigious event.

For the big night, Saeed opted for a black figure-hugging pantsuit with embellished detailing at the waist.
For another one of her looks, Saeed opted for a printed silk flowy dress by Maheen Khan. The designer took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the actor wearing her creation. "Sanam Saeed looking spectacular in the quintessential pathani dress at the screening of Barzakh in Lille France, at the International panorama Series Mania," the post read. "The fabric was specially designed and digitally printed on silk. Sanam, I've known you most of your life. Little did I know you were most definitely the muse I've been waiting for."

For her last look, Saeed chose a fusion sari by Khan. The dark velvet top coupled with a silk ivory drape and a matching blouse looked stunning on the star. She went on to complete her look with a neatly tied hair and soft makeup. For jewellery, Saeed chose statement gold earrings.

“World Premiere of the first two episodes of our series Barzakh. It was such a privilege to be representing South Asia here at this incredible Series Mania festival”, captioned the actor.

Right after the Zindagi Gulzar Hai star shared the BTS of the event along with her ravishing look from the premiere captioning, “It always seems impossible until it’s done”, various celebrities along with fans started praising the artist.

Saeed, who plays the central female character, shared what got her to sign the project initially. “It is simply surreal to be attending the Series Mania Festival. Barzakh is a story that I connected with from the minute I heard it and in Asim Abbasi’s hands, it’s been crafted into a moving, beautiful series that will renew our faith in love and life,” she said.

While Cybil Chaudhary admired Sanam Saeed stating her premiere look as stunning, other celebs including Sajal Ali, Zara Tareen and Sarwat Gilani also complimented the actress by sharing heart and fire emojis.

The Cake actor further stressed that the series will be “very different” from the mainstream family dramas on screen. “It’s what led me to not only take on the challenging role but also made me look at life in a different light. It is very different from what we have seen on screen and all the actors have performed extremely different diverse roles. I am so proud of this series and am honoured that it is having its world premiere at the Series Mania Festival.”

Barzakh, shot in Karachi and the picturesque Hunza Valley, is a perfect blend of magical realism and supernatural fantasy, according to Abbasi. Much like his film Cake, Barzakh also explores a “family reunion setting and deals with themes of love, loss, and reconciliation.”

Produced by Shailja Kejriwal and Waqas Hassan, this web series will be competing for the audience and student jury awards along with the best series, best director, best actress, and best actor during the festival.
