Actors Aiman Khan and Minal Khan came under fire after an employee of their clothing brand called them out over non-payment of salaries. Ali Ahmed took to social media and shared that he has not been paid for the last six months despite repeated requests to clear his dues.

Ali also claimed that several other employees of Aiman and Minal Closet have been facing similar issues. "After begging for my own hard-earned money for six months, I’ve finally come to a point where I’m posting about my terrible experience at Aiman Minal Closet (a brand owned by Aiman Khan and Minal Khan)," Ali shared on Facebook. "I’ve been working with them for over a year and did everything I could by being available 24/7 and taking care of many things including order taking, customer service and deliveries. But they never paid me on time.

He went on to call out Maaz Khan, Aiman and Minal's brother who owns the brand. "Despite being such big names, they never pay their employees and whenever you message Maaz (their brother) about salary, he’d say he’ll transfer it the next week but you never really get the salary." Further, Ali commented, "They treat their employees like slaves and disrespect them all the time but never pay them. What kind of professionalism is this? They’re earning millions from their brand but when it comes to paying their employees, they take a back seat."

After Ali's post went viral on social media, many lent support to the employee while calling out the actors. Now, AnM Closet has issued an official statement on the matter. In an Instagram Story of the brand's page, the owners shared, "The brand does not believe in holding any employee's salary. However, like many other establishments, this company has gone through some financial difficulty, [which] resulted in delayed salaries." The statement went on to read, "But they took corrective measures and managed to resolve the problem."

The statement further clarified that Aiman and Minal are not involved in the brand's daily operations and the company is owned by Maaz Khan. "Hence, they [Aiman and Minal] cannot and should not be held responsible for any human resource-related issue," the statement shared. It was further added that legal action will be taken against the ex-employees of the brand "who are trying to malign the reputation of Aiman Khan and Minal Khan via a planned smear campaign."

Soon after the statement, Ali took to Facebook to share that his dues have been clear.
