ISLAMABAD:

Two important cases against PTI Chairman and former premier Imran Khan will be heard in the courts of Islamabad on Monday (today), including one in which he faces indictment.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) is hearing the disqualification case against the former prime minister for not declaring his alleged daughter, while the sessions court has summoned the PTI chief in a personal capacity in a case pertaining to criminal proceedings after the Toshakhana verdict.

A larger bench of the IHC led by Chief Justice Aamir Farooq will hear the disqualification case against Imran for not declaring his alleged daughter Tyrian White.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Arbab Tahir are also included in the bench. The court has issued a notice on a citizen’s request to amend the petition and has asked for arguments on the admissibility of the petition.

A citizen named Sajid had requested the court to declare Imran ineligible over the matter.

On the other hand, Judge Zafar Iqbal will conduct the additional session of the Toshakhana criminal proceedings case.

The session court has fixed Monday as the date of Imran’s indictment.
The high court has ordered to proceed with legal action on Imran’s non-appearance in the sessions court.

It is worth mentioning here that the Election Commission of Pakistan had filed an application for criminal proceedings in the Toshakhana case.
