CM convenes Mass Transit Authority

CM notes earlier start would help thousands of labourers reach their destination in time

Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered that the metro bus service start at 6am to extend relief to the labourer community.

In a statement issued on Friday, the CM noted that the earlier start would help thousands of labourers reach their destination in time.

The CM chaired a meeting at his office to review matters pertaining to the Punjab Mass Transit Authority (MTA). The meeting, attended by the Chief Secretary, chairman P&D, secretary finance, secretary transport and others, was apprised about implementation of the decision

Meanwhile, during visits to inspect developmental schemes, the CM inspected the CBD Boulevard Gulberg underpass, the Lahore Bridge extension and Samanabad underpass projects on Friday. He also inspected alternate traffic arrangements at Gulberg, Ferozepur Road, Multan Road, Gulshan Ravi and Samanabad.

He also directed to authorities to expedite the projects and complete them as soon as possible for the convenience of the public. Early completion of the projects was necessary for the smooth flow of traffic, he added. He further said that related issues should be resolved quickly and the projects should be completed within the given deadline.
