Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz fired a broadside at PTI chief Imran Khan, calling him “incompetent, corrupt and the most cowardly person in the 75-year history of the country”.
Addressing a workers’ convention here on Tuesday, Maryam said, “Congratulations … the one who gave the title of Sadiq and Ameen to Imran Khan withdrew the certificate. He (former chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar) is saying that he did not declare Imran completely Sadiq and Ameen.”
She said, “Now, when the Dam Wala Baba (referring to ex-CJP Nisar) is fearing that the truth will be revealed, he is saying that his WhatsApp was hacked [and facts were twisted].”
On Monday while talking to a private news channel, the former head of the apex court was referring to a controversy surrounding his tenure’s rulings that had invoked Article 62(1) (f) – a clause under which former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified in 2017 by the Supreme Court while Imran was not.
Nisar shed light on the rationale behind his verdict, explaining that Imran was declared ‘sadiq and ameen’ on three points.
She accused Nisar of disqualifying Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister because “some people thought it was the need of the hour”. “Dam Walay Baba … tell the nation how you made Imran Khan win the election.”
Maryam said that those who plotted against Nawaz were disgraced. Nawaz Sharif had said that he leaves the decision to Allah, she said, adding that what was left, would speak for itself.

“There was a conspiracy against Nawaz, the Dam Wale Baba disqualified the leaders of PML-N and put them in jails. I was disqualified for 10 years, while Imran Khan's rival Nawaz Sharif was thrown out. You had to do justice on someone's wish?”
Maryam said Nisar says that after his death he would publish a book and write all the truth in it. “Saqib Nisar … you ran Imran Khan's election campaign. Because of your decisions, the bread of the nation has been hacked, the future of the youth of the nation has been hacked, and the children of the nation are worried about their future.
Maryam said that if she was a follower of the PTI, “I would have died of shame”. “When the police arrived, Imran Khan hid himself under the bed and teaches the nation to break the chains of slavery,” Maryam said mockingly.
Since the cases started, Imran had not left the house, she said, adding that Imran's lawyer said that he was in a state of disability and could not appear. “Sometimes he (Imran) says he is an elderly and sometimes says he is disabled. Have you ever seen Nawaz Sharif hiding behind his age?”
