Two absconders nabbed by Interpol

Suspected murderers had fled abroad after shooting dead five people

Two accused involved in the murder of five people were arrested abroad by Interpol.

According to Police Spokesperson Khurrum Shehzad, the accused Junaid Safdar had allegedly gunned down Naseer Ahmed, Shahbaz Khan, Muhammed Bashir and Hasnain with his companions in 2006 over an old enmity.

The accused then fled to South Africa.

In another case of murder, the accused Umer Shehzad shot Zulqarnain dead over enmity and fled abroad.

Meanwhile, a man committed suicide after allegedly killing his wife in the Iqbal Town area on Saturday.

According to spokesperson Shehzad, 50-year-old Mehmood Butt allegedly gunned down his wife, 45-year-old Seema, over a domestic dispute.

He later took his own life, reportedly by turning the gun on himself. DPO Syed Zeeshan Raza reached the scene, while SP Investigation, DSP City Circle and a forensic team started their investigation.
