A judicial magistrate on Friday allowed the police to keep in custody for three more days a woman accused of beating her 12-year-old servant to death. Kahna police produced Sadia Asif before Magistrate Junaid Ahmed Makhdoom and asked that her physical remand be extended for three more days so they could continue interrogating and investigating her. She had already been in custody for 11 days. The court told the police to produce her again on August 29.
Asif, a resident of Valencia Housing Society, is accused of beating Taqi, 12, with a club after he forgot to feed her dog. He later died of his injuries in a hospital.
