Naqvi, Tessori stress unity against terror

Sindh governor says Karachi police and Rangers had bravely foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for setting aside mutual differences and forging unity to eradicate terrorism.

Speaking to Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori who called on him, he condemned the overnight terrorist attack on the office of the Karachi police chief and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyred officials. He prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

Naqvi appreciated that the Karachi police, Rangers and Pakistan Army had taken timely action against the terrorists. He remarked that the martyrs were heroes of the nation and their sacrifices would always be remembered.

Calling for unity to eradicate terrorism, he said a handful of nefarious elements could not sabotage peace in the country.

The Sindh governor said the Karachi police and Rangers had bravely foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists.

“We will have to move forward with unity in order to eliminate terrorism,” he added.

He said the people of Punjab stood with Sindh in every time of trial and difficulty.

Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi asserted in a statement that the martyred personnel had faced the terrorists with valour and bravery. He expressed his heartfelt sympathy with the heirs of the martyrs. The caretaker CM remarked that the Punjab government shared the grief of the bereaved families.
