Islamabad capital police claimed to have apprehended 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered drugs and weapons with ammunition from their possession.
According to a spokesperson for the police, the capital police have intensified their crackdown against suspected criminals to eradicate crime from the city.
He said a Secretariat police team arrested an accused named Awais Ahmed and recovered 1,140 grams of hashish from his possession. The same police also arrested an accused named Muhammad Awais involved in decanting, he said.
Similarly, the Khanna police arrested six suspects including Dilawar Khan, Usman Ali, Awais Khan, Ameer Mehmood, Shahzaib and Mehmood who were allegedly involved in possessing illegal weapons and bootlegging, the spokesperson said adding that the police also recovered five 30-bore pistols with ammunition and 15 liters of liquor from their possession.
Moreover, Lohi Bher police arrested an accused named Arbaz for alleged involvement in drug peddling and recovered 1,625 grams of heroin.
He also said the Noon police arrested a suspected criminal named Naeem Kareem for possessing illegal arms and recovered a 12-bore shotgun.
