When news arrived that powerhouses Faris Shafi, Shae Gill, Asim Azhar and Abdullah Siddiqui would unite for the upcoming PSL anthem, everyone got their hopes up – and rightfully so. The artists have proven time and again that they're made for great things.
But it seems finding the perfect combo for a PSL anthem is the holy grail of all music wonders. While the anthem, titled, Sab Sitaray Humaray, isn’t half bad or half-cooked, Pakistanis feel let down by Shafi’s “mediocre” rap and Azhar’s “machon mein aag lage.”
In a first, several on Twitter have even suggested the song offers redemption to Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig and Young Stunners’ 2021 PSL anthem, Groove Mera, which they now uphold was “needlessly” dragged back in the day. Shae Gill is the only saving grace of the track for some, while others have alternate anthem recommendations and a collection of memes for fellow Twitterati.
But first, the real PSL anthem!

'Groove Mera' gets its Twitter due
Every PSL anthem proves how good was GROOVE MERA but was needlessly attacked because people couldn’t stomach Naseebo Lal singing a song for a National event.
