A man accused in several cases of robbery was killed during a police encounter while being taken to a court.
The deceased, Tasawwur Shah, was a resident of Syedwala and wanted in 20 cases, including the murder of a salesman.
According to the police, they were taking the victim in their vehicle for a court appearance. However, on the way, three men opened fire on the police vehicle in an attempt to help the arrested bandit flee. The police chased the robbers and exchanged fire, leading to Tasawwur Shah being injured and later dying on the way to the hospital.
