Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot on February 7. Fans world over waited with bated breaths to catch a first glimpse of the newlyweds. While media publications added to the excitement with live updates from the nuptials, it was the outfits donned by the bride and groom that everyone was anxiously waiting to see.
The duo kept their wedding intimate and didn’t allow any of the pictures from their wedding festivities to leak on the internet. Later, a handful of them made their way to Instagram – and they were posted by none other than Mr and Mrs Malhotra!
Kiara and Sidharth took a little long to post the pictures, which certainly amped up the excitement amongst fans to see them as husband and wife. But when they did, their pictures took the internet by storm. And so much so, that their wedding carousel is now the most-liked Instagram post in India.
The B-town pair shared the stunning pictures from their wedding and captioned them, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai.(We have been permanently booked for each other. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead.” Kiara’s post has been liked by over 14.9 million Instagram users.
Earlier, it was Alia Bhatt who held the record with 13.19 million likes on her wedding photo with Ranbir Kapoor last year. Kiara and Sidharth’s wedding pictures are also the most liked wedding pictures of any Indian celebrity duo.
Actors Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who tied the knot in December 2021, received over 12.6 million likes on their wedding pictures.
Earlier this week, Kiara posted another video on the photo-sharing platform, showing her regal entrance as she made her way down the aisle to Sidharth. The pair can be seen making each other wear the flower garlands and ending the moment with a hug and kiss. The video ends with them throwing their hands in the air, celebrating their beautiful union.
