The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has finalised the names of vice-chancellors for three public sector universities in the federal capital.
According to sources, the names for the appointment of new vice-chancellors of the Allama Iqbal Open University, the Quaid-e-Azam University and the International Islamic University have been finalised a summary containing names and recommendations has been sent to the president for approval.
According to the sources, the names of Dr Fazal Khaliq, Dr Raheel Qamar and Dr Niaz had been recommended for the vice-chancellor slot of QAU.
Similarly, the names of Dr Ziauddin, Dr Nasir Mehmood and Dr Mudassar have been recommended for the vice-chancellor slot of the AIOU.
The names of Dr Tahir Khalili, Dr Amina Moazzam and Dr Khalil has been recommended for the slot of Rector at the IIU Islamabad.
The current VCs of the three universities have completed their tenure. Upon completion of their tenure, new names have been recommended for the three slots.
