Child murder suspect caught

Was traced and arrested from Mansehra by K-P police

KARACHI:

Police have arrested a suspect who had kidnapped, raped and brutally murdered a girl in the Quaidabad area last year. The suspect was apprehended from Mansehra district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

According to Malir district SSP Investigation Arab Maher, body of seven-year-old Muneeba daughter of Maqbool was found in Quaidabad area on November 18 last. Medical examination revealed that the minor was raped and killed.

The police registered a case and obtained DNA samples of the suspect from the body of the victim, which matched with the DNA of accused Sher Rehman alias Kaka.

After the incident, the suspect had escaped to Manshera.

However, the investigation police was in pursuit of the accused and all his details were shared with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police.

Subsequently, the K-P police tracked down the suspect and arrested him and duly informed the Malir police.
