Victim was held responsible for stolen goods

After kidnapping a young man working at a junk shop on the suspicion of stealing goods, the kidnappers allegedly tortured him, cut his nose and broke one of his legs, police said.

Later, the suspects threw him on the roadside unconscious, they said.

Police registered a case and started raids to arrest the accused.

According to the police report, Munir, a resident of Qadria Chowk in People’s Colony No. 2, told the police that his son Faisal had been working at the junk shop with Rana Tariq Mahmood in Darul Ahsan Town for the last four years.

Accused Munir alias Rambo and Muhammad Ashfaq alias Shaako suspected his son Faisal had stolen some items from the shop. Accordingly, the accused took his son to Risala Road after where other accused Murtaza, Bilal and others tortured him with iron rods.

The complainant said that Murtaza put a knife in his son’s throat and kept asking him about the stolen goods.

Munir told the police that when his son pleaded his innocence, the accused fractured his son’s leg by striking it with an iron rod.
