The Twitter app will now remember your timeline choice when you close the app. A month ago, Twitter started pushing the algorithmic "For You" timeline, making it the default feed on iOS.
'The response to the default feature could have been better. Users wanted an option to make the chronological timeline the default as Twitter pushed them back to the "For You" algorithm.
However, the social media app has revised the plan. The new update was enforced on the web browsers last month. It's now being pushed to smartphone apps.
Were any of you (all of you) asking for your timeline to default to where you left it last?

Starting today on web, if you close Twitter on the “For you” or “Following” tabs, you will return to whichever timeline you had open last. iOS and Android coming soon! https://t.co/uKz9DpNRux
Now the app will stop switching you back to recommended tweets and will remember the activity of the user on a chronological timeline.
