Colleen Hoover’s fandom is in for a treat as her bestselling novel, It Ends With Us, is all set for a film adaption! As per Deadline, the upcoming romantic thriller is currently in development with Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures, and stars none other than the Gossip Girl actor Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the leading roles!

The aforementioned publication further revealed that Lively and Baldoni are also the executive producers of the film, along with Steve Sarowitz and Andrew Calof.

It Ends With Us follows the story of a young woman named Lily who has just graduated from college and is eager to begin her life. However, things take an interesting turn for her when she meets a boy named Ryle and instantly falls in love with him but before their budding romance can blossom further, Lily's first love also returns.

In 2022, Hoover was also titled the ''BookTok'' cultural sensation after her TikTok hashtag received more than 2 billion views on the app. It Ends With Us, which has been translated into 43 languages and has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for more than 90 weeks, was the best-selling print book in 2022.

Although a release date for the film has yet to be announced, only imagining their favourite narrative become a reality onscreen has caused a huge ruckus amongst fans.

This film will also be a massive breakthrough for Lively's comeback to acting. Other than It Ends With Us, she will make her feature directorial debut for Searchlight with the adaptation of the Bryan Lee O’Malley graphic novel Seconds, written and produced by Edgar Wright, alongside Marc Platt.
