Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who arrived in Rahimyar Khan on a private visit, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two leaders reiterated their resolve to further enhance the bilateral relations. Shehbaz said that both countries would work on the understandings reached between the two leaders during his recent visit to the UAE.
Al Nahyan said that the brotherly relations between the two countries went back many decades ago and his father, who had immense love for Pakistan and its people, laid the foundation of the bilateral ties. He added that he considered Pakistan as his second home and assured the prime minister that the UAE would always stand by Pakistan.
Earlier, upon his arrival at Chandna Airport, Sheikh Al Nahyan was welcomed by Prime Minister Shehbaz, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and special assistants to prime minister Tariq Fatemi and Attaullah Tarar.
