Pondering the pipeline

ISLAMABAD: This is with reference to “Pondering the pipeline” (June 26). With our energy crisis becoming dire, Iran has stepped in to help. People whose interests are harmed by this deal, read the US and the European Union, have been mounting pressure to cancel the deal. There has been a suspicious rise in the activities of Baloch extremists fuelling speculation that their funding has increased to make the area unsafe for the construction of the pipeline.

It is imperative for vested interest groups to stop acting against the interests of the Pakistan’s people.
