The Punjab Food Department served show-cause notices to five flour mills over low supplies of government flour.
The Food Task Force, led by Deputy Director Food Asif Raza, raided flour mills on Sunday to ensure the uninterrupted supply of flour to the public.
Deputy Director Raza said that flour sale points were established in populated areas and flour supplies were also doubled at shops, keeping in view the rush of citizens.
He further informed that 140,000 10kg bags of wheat flour, including 60,000 in Multan, were being sold across the division on a daily basis.
