LAKKI MARWAT:

Two people were found slaughtered in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhthunkhwa (K-P) in three days.

Police told The Express Tribune that in a local market in Baragi area a dead body was found with severed head.

A pamphlet was also found with the body in which it had been written that he had been slaughtered for spying.

Police said that the victims Raheedullah was kidnapped on January 15 when he was taken away with his bike. Three days later his body was found with a threatening pamphlet.

Two days ago the supervisor of a local seminary in Pizo, Maulana Muhammad Noor was slaughtered reportedly by militants.

“Militancy has returned to the district and with it the slaughtering of so called spies by militants has also become a routine. The act is aimed at terrorizing local communities so that they don’t share information against them with authorities,” said a police official, adding that both the bodies were taken into custody by police and sent for autopsy.

FIRs have been registered against unidentified terrorists under section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act.
