Recovered: Body found in a locked trunk

RAWALPINDI: A body was recovered from a locked trunk in Saddar Bairuni area on Wednesday. The unidentified gunmen had shot a man dead by torturing him and later dumped the body into a drum before throwing it in a drain, police sources said. The investigation officer Lal Shah said that the incident came to light when some passerby spotted a locked drum in a drain and informed the police, who reached the spot and recovered the body. The man was wearing a ring in his right hand which was carved with the name “N Khan”. The wounds on the body were fresh, the police added.
