Airr is a podcast player which allows users to clip their favorite podcast recordings and save them for later. The completely free app is an essential tool for regular podcast listeners who wish to save podcast quotes.

The uniquely designed app offers a section of AirSpace saved by users and AirQuotes that have been saved by other popular users on the app, which helps users explore other podcasts as well.

Airr connects to your local podcast app on the smartphone and syncs all of the user’s library, instead of requiring users to look up and add the podcast show.

The app can capture 30-second clippings of podcasts, with the ability to add notes and share with users’ favorite knowledge management systems. The AirQuote clips can be stretched or moved about through the podcast, to capture the precise quote. The podcast players also offers transcripts, along with a feature to group and label AirQuotes with descriptions for listening later.

Airr even allows the AirQuotes to be synced to Readwise, a content management app, while transferring. The Airr community on slack is open for all users of the app, who can make use of the platform to ask questions or report bugs.

The podcast tool is only available on ios currently but has a waitlist for Android, which probably means the app will soon launch on Android devices as well. Airr stands out as the only app offering the ideal feature of capturing ‘AirQuotes’ and taking notes on them, just like a book.
