Consumption of ice prevalent among the new trends adopted by the youth

Malakand Division Commissioner Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has stressed the need to take strict measures to curb the use of drugs while highlighting that the consumption of ice was prevalent among the new trends adopted by the youth of the country.

Yousafzai was presiding over a meeting on Drugs Free Malakand was held at the commissioner’s office in Saidu Sharif, Swat.

The meeting reviewed measures for the rehabilitation of drug addicts and to make Malakand a drug-free division of the country.

Deputy commissioners, additional deputy commissioners, and officers of the social welfare department from all the districts of Malakand Division were in attendance.

Social welfare officers from the districts presented a detailed briefing on the resources available in the governmental and non-governmental rehabilitation centres.
