Two including property dealer ‘commit suicide’

Body of a young man was found on Friday morning with a noose of rope around his neck in an apartment in Defence Phase II.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot and transferred the deceased to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities. He was identified as Zain Khan, 28.

According to SHO Defence Inspector Malik Ashraf, victim's family members said in their statement that on Thursday night Zain went to his room as a routine. Next morning when he did not come out from his room family members went to wake him up. The door was locked from inside and there was no response to knocking and banging the door. Ultimately the family members entered the room and found his body hanging with the ceiling fan.

According to the SHO, the incident appears a suicide. The police handed over the body to the heirs after completing the legal formalities.

Meanwhile, a property dealer allegedly committed suicide in different areas of the city.

According to the details, one person was killed in a firing incident inside a bungalow located in Khyabane Bukhari area of DHA Phase 6 within the limits of Darakshan police station. His body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital where the deceased was identified as Arshan Ansari, 55.

According to Darakshan SHO Shoaib-ur-Rehman, the family of Ansari informed the police that the deceased was suffering from depression and committed suicide by shooting himself with a 9mm licensed pistol.
