Suspect involved in over 120 crimes arrested

Police have started a search to arrest other accomplices of the accused

Sindh Rangers and police arrested an accused, allegedly involved in 120 cases of robbery and street crimes, during an operation in Orangi Town. According to the spokesperson, the arrested accused, identified as Sultan Shah alias Sirku, along with his two accomplices committed a robbery in Site Town in November 2022 and escaped. The video of the incident also went viral on the social media.

During the investigation, the accused confessed before the police about his involvement in more than 120 incidents of street crimes and robberies in different areas of the city. The police have started a search to arrest other accomplices of the accused. Meanwhile, police and Rangers conducted a search operation to eliminate the criminal elements in the vicinity of New Sabzi Mandi, Super Highway, and arrested several suspects.

The arrested suspects include robbers, street criminals, and illegal Afghan immigrants. According to the details, a house-tohouse search was carried out after keeping a strict guard on the roads leading to and from the area before the operation while several suspects were detained for investigation during the operation.

The police said that the search operation was conducted in Bismillah Market, Janjal Goth, Chawal Godam, and Akakhel areas on the information of the presence of criminals in the area.
