Groom squad: Mansha, Anoushey share glimpses into Ali Gul Pir's dreamy reception

The couple tied the knot in an intimate Nikkah ceremony on December 25

Comedian and rapper Ali Gul Pir walked into 2023 hand in hand with his wife Dr Azeema Nakhoda. The couple tied the knot just before 2022 ended but their wedding festivities still continue into the new year.

While the newlyweds haven’t shared any updates from their nikkah or reception yet, the stars and celebrities in attendance made sure to give us glimpses into the dreamy night.

Anoushey Ashraf, Mansha Pasha and Zhalay Sarhadi, the groom squad, took to their Instagram Stories to wish the couple a happy married life and share pictures from the reception ceremony held in Karachi last night.

In the pictures, the Waderay Ka Beta crooner wore an ice blue shalwar kameez and paired it with a heavily embellished silver jacket. While the bride turned heads in a gorgeous peach ensemble with silver-pearl-like embroidery and a heavy silver dupatta to complete the look. She accessorised with a turquoise stoned maang tikka, an-off white choker, smoky eyes, and a nude lip. Azeema wore her hair up in a bun. The pastel colour theme looked stunning on the couple.

Pasha, who also danced at Ali’s mehendi and is a close friend, wore raw silk gharara pants, a choli and a matching cape to go with it. The ensemble was embroidered with silver sequence work and she wore her hair in a bun to flaunt her silver dangly earrings.

On the other hand, Anoushey and Zhalay broke the pastel colour theme and wore darker colours instead. The former stunned in a navy blue velvet Aisha Ahmed ensemble with gota work on the neck and sleeves. Featuring tulip motifs all the over, she paired the dress with a light blue dupatta, peacock earrings, open tresses and a red pout to go.

Zhalay wore a black angarkha with silver polka dots and zari work. The flowy dress had laces with golds, blue and magenta accents. With gold hoops, she kept her hair open and wore a red lip.

Earlier this week, Ali also shared pictures from his colourful mehendi night where he smiled wide in his white shalwar kameez, a blue waistcoat, and kola puris and his bride looked regal in a lehenga choli. With a blue blouse, a green lehenga and a magenta-pink duppatta, Azeema’s outfit was a perfect blend of the festivities around.

Ali tied the knot with his ladylove Azeemah on December 25. He shared the big news with his fans, asking them for prayers and love on his big day. Being his witty self, the Waderay Ka Beta rapper warned his beau that she’s now “stuck” with him forever.

Last year in January, the couple got engaged in an intimate ceremony. Ali, clad in an ivory kurta pajama and a shawl by Nomi Ansari, was all smiles with his fiancé, Azeemah Nakhoda. The bride opted for an icy blue outfit with soft makeup. Now that we look back, blue was certainly a common theme in all of their celebrations!
