HYDRABAD:

The Sanghar police have registered the FIR of the savage murder of 40-year-old mother of six children including five daughters, Diya Bheel, nominating unknown killers under sections of Anti-Terrorism Act and Pakistan Penal Code. The SHO Sinjhoro police station informed that the case has been lodged on complaint of the woman’s son Soomar Bheel.

The police have detained at least half a dozen suspects for interrogation including brother of slain Diya, whose dead body was found on December 27 in the field of a village with her decapitated head and skin peeled off from her body.

The DIG Nawabshah Range Muhammad Younus Chandio on Thursday visited the slain woman’s family to offer condolence. He assured that the police would soon track the killer.

According to him, an investigation team led by DSP Sinjhoro town Javed Iqbal Chandio has been tasked to hunt the killer or killers at the earliest. Pakistan Peoples Party’s chairman and foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also taken notice of the incident. He also conveyed his condolences.

The federal minister Shazia Atta Mari, who belongs to Sanghar district, contacted the Bheel family through phone to offer condolence and assure them of the government’s support to bring the culprits to the book.
