PPP leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan has cautioned his party’s leadership to beware of losing its political standing in Punjab because of continuing an extraordinary reliance upon the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), especially the PML-N.
He was addressing a ceremony organised at Lahore High Court’s Javed Iqbal Auditorium on former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary Ahsan said the politics of reconciliation and extraordinary reliance on the PML-N would dent the PPP.
“The day will come when the PML-N will show its true colour as it cannot tolerate even a single PPP ‘Jialla’ (staunch follower),” he said. “We are saying one eye should be kept open for our survival in Punjab’s politics. If we did not do so, keep in mind that the PML-N will eliminate the PPP in Punjab,” he added
