Bajaur peace march on January 5

Situation deteriorating each day instead of improving as government fails to fulfil its responsibilities

Bajaur Peace Committee has decided to hold a march against the increasing lawlessness on 5th of next month.

This decision was taken at a meeting of the committee held at the residence of the senior ANP leader Sheikh Jehanzada at Nawagai.

The meeting decided that the situation was deteriorating with each passing day instead of improving as government has failed to fulfil its responsibilities.

Leaders of all political parties and tribal elders attended the meeting including Sheikh Jehanzada, Gul Afzal Khan, Maulana Khan Zeb, Nisar Baz, Shah Naseer Khan, Dr Ghulam Habib, Malik Atta Ullah Khan, Fateh Rehman Mamond, Malik Omar Daraz and Bahadar Khan, Maulana Abdul Rasheed, Haji Said Ahmad Jan, Sufi Hameed, Farmanullah Khan (ANP), Haji Sher Bahadar, Malik Khan Zeb, Najeebullah Khan (PPP), Malik Gul Karim Khan, Anwarullah Khan (PML-N) and Malik Sultan Zeb.

The speakers said that the committee is an independent and autonomous tribal alliance, which will play its role in the maintenance of peace and resolution of other problems faced by local residents in Bajaur.

They said that the participants of the march will carry white flags.
