KARACHI:

PTI members in the Sindh Assembly, Raja Azher and Faheem Khan, reached a private hospital to visit Faizan, who was shot and injured by dacoits. They condemned the incident, criticised the Sindh government in their video messages after meeting Faizan, and said that citizens of Karachi lose lives during robbery incidents every day.

It is strange that the additional IG, who is supposed to protect people, is asking them to surrender in front of thieves and not to resist them, said Raja Azher, adding that if they fail to control street crimes, they should resign. But the question is, what police can do if this city is under the control of Bilawal Zardari and Murad Ali Shah?

He said that the chief minister has also failed at his job. Suspension of SHO is not enough to curb crimes. There is a need for action against DIG. The city’s situation is alarming, and the chief minister is responsible if a common man’s life is in danger.

Faheem Khan said that just as the police are active against Azam Swati, they should also be diligent in protecting citizens. “Criminals are running rampant in the city. Where is the Shaheen Force?” Faheem questioned, adding that the killers of young Azhar Masood and those who attacked Faizan should be arrested. He requested the IG Sindh to take measures to keep the city’s people safe.
