OKARA:

The mystery of the three-year-old girl's murder has been solved.

Her parents turned out to be her killers. The mother of the child had allegedly strangled her daughter with the help of her husband to trap her sister-in-law.

According to DPO Furqan Bilal, a week ago, a man, Nawaz, reported to the police that his three-year-old daughter Asifa had gone missing. The Basirpur Police Station SHO Jahanzeb registered a case of kidnapping.

Soon the police were tipped off that body of a girl had been lying in the nearby area.

As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and shifted the body of the girl to the hospital

The police soon learned that the body was that of the missing girl.

When the news of the finding of the body of the girl was aired, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi took notice of it and asked for a report from Sahiwal RPO Mirza Faran Baig, after which DPO Furqan Bilal started investigating the case.

The police opened their investigations.

During the investigation, the police learnt that the girl's mother, Allah Rakhi, and father, Nawaz, had had frequent quarrels with the girl's aunt, Aasia.

The police found the statements of the girls conflicting and then the girl's father Nawaz and mother Allah Rakhi allegedly confessed killing their daughter to trap the girl's aunt Aasia.
