KARACHI:

Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan is alive and kicking and people dreaming of capturing Karachi are living in a fool's paradise, said MQM-P Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqi addressing Women's Convention at Nishtar Park on Sunday.

"The Nishtar Park is overflowing with MQM bajies, rallies are not only stuck outside, but also on the roads and this gathering shows where we stand in Pakistan. Our identity cannot be erased; no one can snatch it, today," he said addressing the gathering at Nishtar Park which was adorned with higue pictures of famous Pakistani women including Faima Jinna, Begum Rana Liaquat Ali and Bilquis Edhi. Those who used to say that MQM-P is getting divided should see that it is rejuvenating with greater strength.

Calling out to India he said that it was the people of undivided Hindustan who led the struggle for Pakistan, "we are the ideological guardians of Pakistan and if need be, we will be guarding its geographical borders too."

He said that we will not allow any trouble to come to Pakistan. "We want to make it clear to India as well that if it does not stop the intrusion, we will be seen as ideological protectors as well as border protectors." On this occasion, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also presented a tribute to the martyrs, missing people and captives of the organization. The Deputy convener Nasreen Jaleel also addressed to the historical Women's Convention and said that not only in Karachi, but in the urban areas of Sindh, a gap has arisen, which has not been filled by any political party. PPP, PMLN, PTI no one took the grief of these citizens and today you are present here and we are also here and we were and are for each other. Nasreen Jalil presented resolutions in the convention, which were unanimously approved by the participants. These resolutions are a promise for a better future.

The Deputy Convener and MPA Khwaja Izhar ul Hasan said while addressing in the Women's convention at Nishtar Park that today's convention is announcing that if they vote, the next mayor of Karachi will be a woman. Today's crowd is holding the flag of Pakistan along with the flag of righteousness, today the crowd is advising the political parties of Karachi to fold their bags and get out from there. He said that there is a political party which is trying to fool the people of Karachi by wearing new clothes and with new slogans. This is the same party which killed youths of Karachi in the name of Jihad.
