KARACHI:

Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker Rehana Laghari has said that trees, plants and children need special care while carelessness causes negative impact on their development that is unacceptable in society.

She expressed these views during a surprise visit to green belts and small gardens located in the Sindh Assembly building to see the condition and maintenance of trees and plants.

Laghari expressed her annoyance at the unhealthy condition of the trees and plants and ordered suspension of Gardens Supervisor Bashir Chandio over his unavailability and irresponsibility.

"Gardening is a healthy activity that requires a lot of physical effort. This includes weeding, watering plants, and pruning. Therefore, gardening is also a great source of exercise," the deputy speaker said on the occasion.
