In Pictures: Janhvi Kapoor oozes royalty in Mohsin Naveed Ranjha

From the likes of Mahira Khan, Sonya Hussyn, and Maya Ali to Atif Aslam, many have been the designer's muse.

Designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha has made a mark for himself in the world of fashion. Traditional in his design ethos, his creations have been worn by a myriad of celebrities – both local and Bollywood. The ace couturier has several big collaborations to his credit.

From the likes of Mahira Khan, Sonya Hussyn, and Maya Ali to Atif Aslam, many have been his muse. However, his outfits have made global headlines previously when they were spotted on Bollywood stars including Sara Ali Khan, Ranveer Singh and Huma Qureshi have donned his attires. This time around is no different.

Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor – the daughter of late legendary Sridevi and Indian film producer Boney Kapoor – was recently spotted donning one of Ranjha’s designs. The designer posted some breathtaking pictures on his Instagram handle.

The Dhadak star was clad in an MNR number for the cover shoot of LifeStyle Asia India. Styled by Meagan Concessio, Janhvi’s outfit oozed royalty. The tea pink outfit featured a long net kameez with accents of velvet fabric and heavily embellished work in gold and silver. The lehenga was covered in criss-cross gota work, providing for an ethnic appeal. A heavy polki and emerald choker and oversized baalis completed her look.

Ranjha’s studio described the outfit as, “Janhvi Kapoor is the perfect combination of modernity and heritage. We have tried to create a modern fairytale with a vision of unabridged joy through our luxurious MNR bridals for the cover of LifeStyle Asia India.”

Ranjha’s creations are known for their traditional design rooted in Eastern heritage, intricate craftsmanship and bold colour palettes. His work gained global recognition after British-Pakistani star Tan France wore one of his designs to the British Fashion Awards in 2021.

Ranjha is also accredited with designing outfits for a few members of the local award-winning movie Joyland that walked the red carpet at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Most recently, one of his bridal outfits was featured on Ms Marvel, bringing his designs to the screens of Disney+.
